Welcome to our Holiday Club

Scissett Kids Club is a quality, Ofsted registered childcare provider which opened in 2002, providing a Holiday Club for out of term activities.

Who is it for?

All young people from Reception year up to and including year 8 (i.e. 13 year olds). [Note: to attend the Holiday Club your child does not have to attend either Scissett CE Academy or Scissett Middle School.]

When & Where?

7:30am to 6pm during most school holidays (and aligns to the Scissett CE Academy academic calendar). Please refer to the calendar/blog for specific dates. Scissett CE Academy, Wakefield Road, Scissett, HD8 9HR.

What do we do?

Provide a safe place for your child to enjoy time with their friends and ensure they feel like they are getting a break from school.

Food & Drink?

Breakfast – a broad selection of breakfast cereals & toast until 9am. Healthy snacks and drinks are provided during the day. Children must bring a packed lunch.

An extensive range of fun and exciting activities such as: arts and crafts (baking, model making, painting, clay models, knitting, sewing, drama and music), gardening, outside den building, climbing trees, treasure hunts, playing games (football, cricket, rounders, tennis, frisbee, netball), trip days out to all sorts of exciting venues further afield. …the list is endless. Our facilities and equipment allow us to run a huge variety of activities and just in case the great British summer doesn’t give us the sunshine we would like, we also have access to indoor facilities. We also have access to a large outdoor area including a woodland and early years playground.

Trip Days

‘Trip Days’ will be arranged within the holiday period. Dates are variable so please contact the club (or see the calendar in the ‘Blog’ for specific dates). Small additional fees will be incurred on  trip days.

£25.50 per child per day.  Trip days are £29.50 per child. (Discounts are available for siblings &/or half-day sessions. Please call 07791 064565 or email scissettkidsclub@gmail.com for details)
